Hand cleansers are a convenient, on-the-go solution for cleansing your hands when soap and water are unavailable. This homemade version will not only cleanse your hands, but moisturize them too.
Ingredients:
5 tablespoons aloe vera gel 4 tablespoons water 1/4 teaspoon vitamin E oil 8-10 drops doTERRA On Guard Protective Blend Small Squeeze Container
Note: Essential oils can be stored in plastic containers if the essential oils are highly diluted. Make sure they are high quality if you do use plastic containers.
Directions:
In bowl combine aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil.
Add 8-10 drops of doTERRA On Guard Protective Blend to aloe vera mixture.
Add water and mix well to combine. Add more or less water depending on the consistency you want.
Pour into container.
Place your homemade hand cleanser in your bag, car, or office for an effective, alcohol-free hand cleanser.

Commercial air fresheners can bring many
unwanted toxins and chemicals into your home. There are, however, completely
safe and natural alternatives for keeping your air fresh. We came up with a
quick and simple tutorial to make your own air freshener that has only two
ingredients—baking soda and essential oils! Read on to get started, and your
home will be smelling fresh in no time.
Ingredients:
1 small Mason jar with
band
1/4 cup baking soda
5-6 drops of your
favorite essential oil
Small piece of fabric
Directions:
Put 1/4 cup baking soda into a small jar. Add 5-6 drops
of your favorite doTERRA essential oil or blend.
Recommended Essential Oils: Balance, Cassia, Geranium, Eucalyptus,
Lavender, Lemon, doTERRA On Guard®, Purify, or Wild
Orange.
Put piece of fabric on jar and seal with band.
Editor's Tip: Add some style by drawing a
design onto a piece of paper and then securing the design on top of the lid
with a strong tape around the edges and poking holes along the pattern.
Place jar in an area you would like to keep smelling
fresh. This could include: the bathroom, near a garbage can, in your
closet, near your dirty clothes, etc. Shake the jar often to activate the
fresh scent.
If scent starts to fade, simply add 2-3 drops of
essential oil to jar.
This DIY recipe is provided by doTERRA international, but you can take a simple recipe like this and adjust it to fit your needs... I use just baking soda and oils as a carpet freshener...Make enough of this to fill more than one room freshener jar and put enough in a shaker jar to sprinkle on your carpets.. after you've vacuumed place the room freshener jars in each of your rooms to help with continued freshness...
